Andre The Giant was born Andre Rousimoff on May 19th, 1946.
It was pretty obvious when Andre was growing up that he was not a normal child. He was growing by the day, and worked out all the time.
Andre made a huge impact when he began wrestling in Europe, and was billed as anything with a giant in the name!
He was truly and giant in the world, and that caught the eye of the one and only Vince McMahon. He was billed the 8th Wonder of the World, and used as a VERY special attraction. Sometimes Andre only wrestled once a month in the WWF!
Tall tales state that Andre could drink and do more than a normal man could, and it is all true.
Andre with his deteriorating health left the WWF, but before he passed, he was wanting another WWF run.
Andre The Giant died on January 29th, 1993, he was only 46.
I am proud to induct Andre Rousimoff aka Andre the Giant, into the Death~Valley Hall of Fame!
