The Undertaker did not begin out as the Deadman we all know and love. He began in 1984 at the Dallas Sportatorium with WCCW. And later on, Taker moved on to the USWA where he would attain various championships. Mark Calaway, as the man behind the Undertaker is known by, used several ring names before entering the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment. These include:

However, 'Taker is best known in his pre-WWE days, for his short stint with the National Wrestling Alliance/World Championship Wrestling (NWA & WCW). Known as Mean Mark Callous, one half of the Skyscrapers, the Young Phenom would not stay long at WCW, lasting only one year after being declined a renewing of his contract.
