Introduction

It is a time of peace. This peace, however, is violently strained. Tensions have been heating up for nearly three decades, and circumstances have only been getting worse.

In these troubled times, the planet of Tarkona has just been plunged into the midst of a great tragedy, with the deaths of King Traelor and Empress Althea. Their only child, Princess Tyrany has assumed the role as the youngest Empress of Tarkona, being only seven years of age.

To aid the young ruler, is her seventeen year old cousin, Queen Azoria of Rykaara, Tarkona's sister planet. Even as she attempts to help Tyrany rebuild her broken kingdom, somewhere, a dark evil plans to destroy it.

Elsewhere in the galaxy, there is about to be a great explosian in the course of history. A young boy may be the key to a distant queen's reign...or perhaps the undoing of it.....

Chapter 1

He knew something was wrong the moment he stepped out of his small home.

Anakin rubbed his sky-blue eyes vigorously, then glanced around the desolate Tatooine landscape. He definitely felt it now...it was...in the way the wind carried the brownish sand...and in the way the suns warmed his face...by yet, he still felt a chill. Never in all of his ten years had he felt anything like this before.

He had a feeling something was about to happen. Something big. He started walking down the dusty path, towards the heart of his small village. Whatever he sensed was there...drawing him closer...and closer....

"Beru, it was a pleasure to meet you!" Obi-Wan Kenobi said as he extended his hand to the small woman.

Beru tucked a strand of her dark brown hair behind her ear and stared at Obi-Wan with wide, blue eyes, but said nothing. Obi-Wan smiled again, then silently left the home.

He stood outside in the hot sun for a few moments, until his younger brother Owen walked outside. "Sooo," Owen smiled broadly. "What did you think?" "Well, I must say it was the best Breaded Black Dwyth I've had in about three years..."

"I mean about Beru!" Owen interupted impatiently.

"OH!" Obi-Wan cried in mock surprise. He grinned, then once again turned serious. "She's wonderful, Owen! Truely wonderful! If only I had as much luck with women as you do."

Owen laughed. "Purely luck, my brother! Purely luck!"

He paused and ran his hand through his thick hair. "I can see myself marrying her and settling down...maybe starting a family. Did you know her father owns a moisture farm? Living with her there would make me truely happy." Obi-Wan forced a smile. "Don't rush into anything, Little Brother. Be sure you know what you're doing."

"I do!" Owen rushed. "Obi-Wan, I've loved her for eight years! I think I'd know what I was doing by NOW!" "Of course!" Obi-Wan smiled and tightly embraced his brother. "I must be going now! Have a good evening and may the Force be with you." "May it be with you, too," Owen replied. "Pleasent evening!"

Obi-Wan slowly headed down the quiet street. Even though it was supposedly the middle of the city, not many people were outside. Most were too busy in doors and others wanted to spend the least amount of time outside as possible.

Obi-Wan couldn't blame them-he frequently got tired of Tatooine's monotonous features, too. But it was home...and it most likely always would be. Consumed by his thoughts, he never saw the little boy run in front of him. They crashed into each other and the boy tumbled to the ground. "Whoa there!"

Obi-Wan soothed as he helped him up. "Are you alright?" The boy stared at him inquisitivly. "Are you leaving on a transport from Mos Eisley?" "Yes, I am!" Obi-Wan could feel the Force in this boy...and it was very strong.

"You can't!!" The little boy clung to his robes and stared up at him wide-eyed. "Something bad is going to happen!! I can FEEL it!!!"
