Apparently between the time of the church's organization and 1934, there were no trustees appointed to transact legal matters on behalf of the church. The first mention of an election for trustees in the minute books is the entry for February 14, 1959. As a result of the new church constitution and bylaws, adopted in July of 1986, one trustee is elected each year for a three-year term, and the terms of office are staggered so that one trustee is elected each year at the annual meeting.
