Shannon Basham Memorial Trust Fund

Shannon Basham was born May 16, 1973. She attended Breckinridge County High School in Harned, Kentucky, and married Terry Strasburger on September 30, 1994. Only four months after her wedding, she and her husband both tragically died on February 9, 1995, when their truck crashed into the railing of the Clover Creek bridge, just about a mile west of New Clover Creek Baptist Church. Shannon was only 21 years old. Her parents, Glenn and Donna Basham, and her brother, Adam, remain members at New Clover Creek.

In December, 1995, the New Clover Creek Baptist Church set up the Shannon Rebecca Basham Memorial Trust Fund. The purpose of the fund is to collect money which may be distributed for the following purposes:

• To benefit any individual who, in the discretion of the trustees of the fund, is in need of monetary assistance;
• To benefit charitable or educational purposes which the trustees deem proper;
• To purchase drugs and medications for the sick;
• To provide charitable contributions for the education of the needy;
• To purchase food, clothing, or other necessary items for the needy.

All contributions to the fund are tax deductible and are deposited in a trust account.
