Varble never became a member at New Clover Creek; he "rode the circuit" and was simultaneously pastor at Walnut Grove, 1935-44; Dry Valley, 1937-46; New Bethel, 1940-53; and Hites Run 1939-54.

Bro. Elmore never became a member at New Clover Creek; he simultaneously was pastor at Bewleyville Baptist Church, 1952-54. He came here from the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Gordo, Alabama, and removed from New Clover Creek to the First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
