Little Red Riding Hood

Almost everyone knows the story of Little Red Riding Hood, but did you know that her mother is Old Mother Hubbard and that her brother is Simple Simon? King Wolf is after her and enlists the help of wicked Witch Twitch and the heartless Baron to catch her.
Don't worry though, because as in all pantomimes there's a Fairy Queen and a band of good fairies ready to wave their magic wands, and a handsome Prince too. But will the tale have a 'happy ever after' ending?

"To think that I had that little girl in my clutches and let her get away!" - "Little Red Riding Hood is not to be caught that way..."
Witch Twitch and King Wolf hatch a plan to catch Red Riding Hood.

"I've had such a fright this morning. I was attacked in the wood by a horrid wolf!"
Red Riding Hood tells Simple Simon how frightened she was.

"Thank you good people for your welcome. It is very encouraging. What say you, Dandy?"
- "I should describe it as tumultuous."
Prince Charming arrives in Shenley Church End.

"You are a simple little girl. Have you ever been kissed?" - "No, sir." - "The boys must have been very slow around here."

"Fairies have no sense of time,
especially those in pantomime."
The Fairy Queen tells off her fairy troops.

"Listen. I'm looking for a little girl in a red cloak, a red hood and carrying a basket."
- "A little girl?" - "Yes." - "Wearing a red cloak?"
- "Yes." - "A red hood?" - "Yes." - "And carrying a basket?"- "Yes, have you seen her?"
"No, we haven't seen her. It must have been another little girl."

Punch and Trunch's plan to catch the wolf by dressing Trunch up as a decoy Red Riding Hood has backfired. The Baron thinks that he has captured her, but is in for a surprise.

The Wolf makes himself comfortable in Grandma Hubbard's bed.

"Why Grandma, what big teeth you've got."
- "All the better to eat you with, my dear."

Having saved Little Red Riding Hood from the Wolf, Prince Charming invites her, Dame Hubbard and Simple Simon to his Palace.

"We've got you now." - "What is the matter, Officer?" - "He's under arrest for trying to steal your daughter." - "There must be some mistake. The man who's trying to do that is in there, His name is Prince Charming - and he has my full permission. I should say so."

.

"If you don't know what happenned, you can guess. I asked her if she would - and she said 'yes'."

Red Riding Hood and Prince Charming are to be married and live happily ever after.
