The King and I

Radcliffe School, Wolverton
Friday 19 & Saturday 20 May 1989

The action of this musical passes in and around the King's palace at Bangkok in the early 1860s. The story is about the widowed Anna Leonowens and the King of Siam, by whom she is engaged as a Governess to his 67 children, and the way in which she wins the hearts of the King and his royal household by teaching them that Western manners can be as equally dignified as their own.
