Beauty and the Beast

Benjamin Bountiful, the father of Jemima, Joy and Beauty, discovers that all but one of his fleet of ships has been wrecked, and he must go and salvage what he can. He promises each of his daughters a souvenir of his trip, and while Jemima and Joy ask for pearls and diamonds, all Beauty wants is a single white rose.
While away, Benjamin picks a rose from a beautiful garden, which belongs to the Beast. He spares Benjamin's life on the condition that he returns with the first creature to greet him when he returns. Thinking that it will be Rover, he agrees, but it is Beauty who he sees first back at home.
Reluctantly, Beauty is sent to live with the Beast until her father becomes ill and she has to return home to look after him. The Beast allows her to tend him for a week, but she outstays this time and returns to the castle to find the Beast dying. Only by finding true love will he survive...

Frou-frou, Benjamin and Joy strike a pose

"Where's Beauty?" -
"She's getting ready for the party. Won't I do?"
Frou-frou flirts with Marmaduke.

"You musn't concern yourself with your old father's troubles, Beauty."

"We want to toast Beauty!" -
"No, it's time to toast me!"

Beauty's visit is only a fleeting one.

"Matilda! Is he here?" -
"Over there, but he is so ill!"

"It's too late, Beauty. You left me and did not come back at the appointed time. Now I must die."

"I would ask for the hand of your daughter in marriage." - "Nothing would give me greater pleasure." It all ends happily ever after;
Beauty is to marry Prince Anton.
