I'm here at the library, just about my last day until my vacation starts (I have to come in and put out the new books on fri.).  Goin' up to Penn State this weekend to help bring my sister home.  She's been up there for awhile now.  I guess she's looking forward to coming home.  I'm looking forward to be visiting her up at school (even if it is the eleventh hour, better late than never).  Then it's off to the Gathering of the Vibes!  Can't wait.  I got a new camp stove and I'm anxious to use it.  This year the festival is in Bridgeport, Conn..  Seaside Park to be exact.  I hope we get a camp site on the water.

I've just finished my summer class in Native American History.  Very imformative, however very depressing.  The United States Government should be ashamed of itself, and we as citizens should be equaly embarassed that such human rights violations have been, and are still, allowed to happen on our watch.  Well, I think I'll put the soap box away for now and move on to happier thoughts...

I've been pretty active on the new Dead.net lately.  We have a vine thread in the tapers forum and we're sharing some excelent Grateful Dead music.  Anyone can jump on a vine or even start one of thier own.  So far we have 10/8-9/89 posted as well as the brand new (just put it up today) Egypt '78 run.  Cool!  If you haven't checked out the new site do yourself a favor, it's awesome!  David Gans has started a Grateful Dead Hour podcast.  He started with show 793 and just posted 796.  All these feature the ongoing interview with Dead rodie Steve Parish.  Very interesting, can't wait to here the final instalmment.  David Lemieux continues to bring us wonderful gems from the vualt via the "tapers section."  But you don't have to take my word for it...
