A Memorial

Today, December 1, 2005, I along with my mother Evangelist Yvonne Quarles set out to design a website.  This website was birth and thus this website took its maiden voyage.  May the launching of this website reap a bountiful harvest for New Birth Center COGIC of Eufaula, Alabama.  This is only a launching pad.  As painstakingly and gallantly our efforts have been to produce a powerful and interactive online presence and extension of NBC COGIC, we humbly admit that this website has not reached its full potential.  We pray God will lead someone with more expertise to this ministry that will willing submit their time and talent to making this the best Christian website.  I the webmaster of this website would like to leave the New Birth Family with this word from Joshua 4:1-9.

When all the people were safely across the river, the Lord said to Joshua, Now choose twelve men, one from each tribe.  Tell the men to take twelve stones from where the priests are standing in the middle of the Jordan and pile them up at the place where you camp tonight.  So Joshua called together the twelve men and told them, Go into the middle of the Jordan, in front of the Ark of the Lord.  Each of you must pick up one stone and carry it out on your shoulderstwelve stones in all, one for each of the twelve tribes.  We will use these stones to build a memorial.  In the future, your children will ask, What do these stones mean to you?  Then you can tell them, They remind us that the Jordan River stopped flowing when the Ark of the Lords covenant went across.  These stones will stand as a permanent memorial among the people of Israel.  So the men did as Joshua told them.  They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan River, one for each tribe, just as the Lord had commanded Joshua.  They carried them to the place where they camped for the night and constructed the memorial there.  Joshua also built another memorial of twelve stones in the middle to the Jordan, at the place where the priests who carried the Ark of the Covenant were standing.  The memorial remains there to this day.

Only what we do for Christ will last.  May this website continue to be a blessing not only to you but also to your childrens children and a testament to your obedience in supporting the vision of this ministry. Thank you New Birth Center Family for having given me this opportunity to serve you.

Love,

Lutrecia Amos,
