MISSIONS UPDATE

It is so good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to His name.  To tell of His love in the morning and of His faithfulness by night.  We just had the tent up in a little village called San Francisco.  There was so much energy under the tent.  There was no sitting still, it was such an intense meeting.  The vencedores "The Overcomers", which is one of the best singing groups here in the Galeana area, were there.  Their parents Ernesto and Aurora are quite elderly.  The children grew up loving the Lord and their expression of the Lord shows it.  There was a man there probably in his 30s.  He had a voice like Tom Jones singing Mexican Christian songs.  He had a shirt with a big collar on it just like the days of Tom Jones.  Of course it was only amusing to me.  To them they had not a clue as to who Tom Jones was.  That evening a word came forth about Jezebel and about the prophet Elijah.  Then also how the prophet had told the widow woman how her and her son would not die but how she had to fix him some food first; that we as Christians should be so full of the Word that we should be like that prophet then and be able to declare life to a lost and dying people.  Interesting enough, in the yard where we had put the tent, there was a big fork lift on the northwest corner that was in the way.  It would not run.  It was too big to be pulled without a tractor.  So we could not move it.  So I secured the northwest tent corner to that fork lift.  The cold wind was coming from that way.  I thought that it was interesting that we cast our burdens on the Lord.  He carries them for us.  That is what a fork lift does.  It picks up heavy loads.
