STRYKER'S RUN

If you had a BBC computer, you will probably have heard of Superior Software's "Stryker's Run". It wasn't a bad game. Well, okay, it was. But I loved it. It's not the first BBC game I've remade, but it's the only one I've revamped in SVGA 3D layout. I'll add to this page as the progress is made. If you had the original game and you have ideas for improvement, then gimme an email and let me know. ;)

ORIGINAL

To give you an idea of my project, here are some screenshots from the original BBC version.
Original Stryker's Run by Chris Roberts in 1987.

Commander Stryker with one of his war buddies. Erm, let's call him... ummm.. Ralph. *shrug*

John Stryker jumping over a mine. Yeh, I know. The game can get a bit simple sometimes, but It somehow managed to keep you interested.

See that small green ball close to the enemy's head? That's one of my grenades. For some reason bullets explode before they travel about four metres.

The main thing that gave the game variety was the ability to fly helicopters now and again. Some can bomb, some can shoot, some do both, and some do neither.

FEATURES
I made all these pictures within about two hours, waiting for 6 o'clock ;)

All images except the ones on the right are copyright BarTen 2000
The ones on the right were in the original "Stryker's Run" by Superior Software.

Turret
Not functioning in the game, only used as background decoration.

4-Way Pillbox
More decoration.

Weapons bunker / Turret
More lifeless decoration, this one displaying the enemy forces' emblum.

Pillbox
Last of the pill boxxes, and most plain. I hurried it and it shows.

SAM Launcher
Surface to air missile launcher. Don't fly over it in a helicopter.
