Cardboard Box Maze

This is sure to be a hit with any child, and it is easy on your wallet - the only expense being the cost of a roll of duct tape.

We have set this up at some of our parties, and it became the featured attraction. The only time consuming portion of building this maze is driving around town collecting boxes that would be large enough to crawl through. We have had much success with one stop at an appliance store - they are usually more than happy to give you all the boxes you need. They can be long & narrow requiring crawling, or tall enough to stand up inside. The more, the better. If you could manage to collect a dozen large appliance boxes, you would have a terrific maze when assembled.

Most likely, you will have to assemble the maze outside due to the amount of space required. Begin by lining the boxes up side by side in various direction, then cut a passageway (just large enough to crawl through) from one box to the next using a utility knife.

Tape your boxes together along the edges using duct tape once the passageway is cut. The passageway of one box will line up with that of the next box.

Cut an entrance & and exit, then watch the fun begin. You may even catch an or two trying to squeeze through.

It's irresistable fun!
