Sub: Opposition to Amendment in the Code of Comunidades. Respected Sir, Our organization opposes the move of your Government to amend the Code of Comunidades. We urge you to direct the concerned Ministry not to go ahead with the decision which goes against the interests of such age-old institution and National heritage of India � the Gaunkaries of Goa. Going ahead against the wishes of the Gaunkars of Goa will not be considered favorably by us. Please note that any changes to be recommended for inclusion/amendment in the Code can only be done in accordance with Article 652 of the said Code. We hope and pray that you will intervene and save further damage to our Comunidades and the futures of the Gaunkars of Goa. We extend our prayers and support in all your noble ventures. Sub: Protest against Amendment of Code of Comunidades. Respected Sir, On behalf of the Gaunkars of the Aldona Assembly Constituency, we do hereby firmly express our opposition to the amendment of the Code of Comunidades as passed by your Government in the State Assembly recently. We also categorically state that we are opposed to any amendments in the said Code and the Gaunkars consider all such amendments made by any Government till date, as illegal, null and void ab initio. We would also like to know your position on the said amendments in the Code of Comunidades which your Government has approved.
