COMPONENTES OF                           COMUNIDADES

Every Gaunkar is the direct male descendant of the first founders of the institution of Gaunkary in the respective locality, by male bloodline. The Gaunkars subsequently promoted inclusion of other various skilled/semi-skilled persons in their Gaunkary as part of community development. Those who assisted the Gaunkars with financial assistance came to be called as interested participants with limited interest, commonly known as Accionistas or Sharers i.e. they were admitted to participate in the affairs of Gaunkaries as per the contract with Gaunkars while others were absorbed as groups or communities and given rights over certain earmarked lands or participation as Componentes which may be constituted of either sex. The Reforms dated 15.9.1880, considered for the first time in history of Comunidades, issuing of Accoes or Shares/I.O.Us by the Comunidades to interested participants of the Gaunkaries/Comunidades, to avoid certain conflicts with Gaunkars. This Reform of 15.9.1880 came into force with effect from 30.10.1886 only. The specific reasons for issuing Accoes can be understood from Article 355 of the present Code.
