SOTH Church Belles study group meets on Tuesday April 18 at
10 a.m. to 12 noon in the church sanctuary. For discussion,
read Women of the Bible, p.114 "Jael" and Judges 4-5. We
will also discuss Reclaiming the "L" Word-Renewing the Church
from Its Lutheran Core by Kelly Fryer. Bring your lunch.
New members are always welcome to join our group.
	Contact Ruth Stierna 703-754-1512.

Altar Folk Volunteers much needed at SOTH. Long-time and
new members qualify! We need you to be part of a newly
forming team of at least 12 individuals or families who
will volunteer for a monthly assignment to set up our
	altar for communion.
We will orient you to SOTH's communion set-up, and easy
instructions are posted in the Sacristy. On Saturday or
Sunday morning, you will fill communion trays and the
chalice with wine, and place these on the altar together
with the bread. Between services, refresh the altar, wine
and bread for the 11:00 service. Occasionally when
liturgical seasons change or holy days are observed, we
rotate the colored paraments on the altar. All supplies
are provided and laundry or ironing of linens is not required.
We will meet annually for any needed altar maintenance tasks,
communication, fellowship, and in recognition of your responsible
service. Serve with gratitude for God's abundant Grace!
Prayerfully consider being a part of this very important service
	role in our congregation.
Sign up on the bulletin board for the month that is most
convenient for you, or call Ruth Stierna, 703-754-1512.

A special thanks to the many people that have generously donated food and
household items to help those in need. The ministry and outreach committee
brings all donations to SERVE in Manassas where the direct assistance is
provided. SERVE (Securing Emergency Resources through Volunteer Efforts)
is a voluntary organization that has aided hundreds of people in our area
through their food bank, temporary homeless shelter, and other services.
For more information about SERVE, go to their website www.serveinc.org and
see what they have been doing. This is another example where our church is
helping to make a difference in people’s lives.

Vacation Bible School has been scheduled for July 10th – 14th.
See Janine Byers or Robin Vanneman if you can assist.
