BREAKING FREE FROM THE SPIRIT OF FEAR
Everybody has to deal with fear......regardless of age, gender or
nationality. Satan tries to paralyze us, and keep us from moving forward
to
receive the will of God for our lives. Job 3:25 says, "For the thing
which I
greatly fear comes upon me, and that of which I am afraid befalls me".
In
other words, the more we mediate on the fears that come against us, the
greater the chance that the fear will become reality.
The best antidote for fear is FAITH. We can choose what we are going to
think about. Through the powerful force of our faith and the words of our
mouth, we can overcome Satan's attacks.
In Proverbs 15:15 it says, "All the days of the desponding and afflicted
are
made evil (by anxious thoughts and forebodings - this means a sense of
impending misfortune or evil), but he who has a glad heart has a continual
feast (regardless of circumstances). Do not be in agreement with the
enemy.
Faith is a force that draws the will of God into our life. In order for
our
fearful mind set to be broken, our thinking needs to be renewed. Hebrews
11:6 says that " without faith it is impossible to please and be
satisfactory
to God. You have to decide to stand against fear. Refuse to believe
the
lies of the enemy, and believe God's Word. Believe God for good things to
happen in your life. Stop doing the wrong thing, and start doing the right
thing...speak forth the promises of God. The greatest weapons we have as
believers is our mouth. See Luke 4: 1-13;Rromans 4:17.
The more that you receive, believe, and speak God's Word against the devil's
deceptive fears, the less Satan will be able to manipulate and control you.
God wants us to be set free from fear, and living in a life full of
expectancy. Isaiah 30: 18 says that the Lord(earnestly) waits (expecting,
looking, and longing) to be gracious to you.....Blessed (happy, fortunate, to
be envied) are all those who (earnestly) wait for Him, who expect and look
for Him (for His victory, His force, His love, His peace, His joy, and His
matchless, unbroken companionship).
Ask God what area in your life you are fearful about. Fear only becomes a
problem when we receive it and act upon it instead of standing against it and
confronting it with the truth of God's Word.
The next time fear comes against you, don't say, "I'm afraid...I'm
afraid...I'm afraid". Instead, open up your mouth and say,"
Something good
is going to happen to me! God has a good plan for my life. Through
Christ
we are more than conquerors. See Lamentations 3:25, Jeremiah 29:1, and
Romans 8: 37. By aggressively standing against Satan's fears, we shut the
door on him and open the door to God's blessing
