Testimony Update - Bob and Peggy

When I arrived in the Dallas, Texas airport where Peggy Lou was to pick me up Tuesday evening June 6, 2000 at 9:10 pm, I proposed to her right at the terminal station where I came in. She accepted immediately. I picked up my luggage, and discovered that I had picked up the wrong luggage. The next day(June 7th - the wedding day) involved checking on where my luggage was, getting pre-marital syphilis blood tests in Oklahoma, going to the court house for a marriage license, and getting married by Baptist minister Miles E. Wesner in Adabel, Oklahoma. In Texas, you have to wait three days before you can get a marriage license, and we didn’t want to wait that long :) :)

We had to go to Sears and buy another outfit that afternoon for the wedding vows ceremony at 5pm, and reception. After the ceremony we left for Dallas, Texas on our honeymoon to pick up my luggage :) We went outside of Dallas and stayed at a Motel(Ennis, Texas). The next day we traveled to the coast at a town called Gilchrist, Texas where her daughter Lee Ann and husband have a beach house. We stayed there for several days enjoying the time together getting to know each other more, and working out some things to be more compatible. :) In our walks we came upon a Baptist minister who was fishing. He had a stroke, but it didn’t affect him in any way. Peggy Lou thought that he was a preacher, and she was right! He was also a barber. He caught a large fish while we were talking to him. Met his wife also. I gave him my website address.

We went to Galveston, Texas, and took in the beach, Casey’s Seafood Restaurant, and Moody Gardens. We took the ferry, and Peggy had to hold me so I wouldn’t fall over, because the wind was so strong when I was taking moving video pictures. There was at the time what they call a "Tropical Depression". This is what could turn into a hurricane or subside. It subsided, thank God.

At the Seafood Restaurant I gave Peggy a special frog necklace and frog earrings. This was done because she had sent me this picture of a frog with large red lips throwing out kisses. :)

We had some nice walks together at the beach picking up seashells for me to bring back with me on my return trip to Brandon, Manitoba, and getting to know more about each other.

I cut Peggy’s hair in a shorter style cut. It was quite a change for her, but everybody liked it. It will grow out again, and I will take more precautions next time to take just a little off at a time. :)

I was very well received by her family and friends. My heart was really touched by what Dee Ann her daughter had to say about me. She said that she was happy to see her mother find a Godly man, and one day at a church service she came and gave me a hug, and said, "Hi Dad".

We attended four church services while I was there, and prophetic word was spoken over the two of us. The prophetic word was that we had decisions to make, and that God would work everything out for us in the decisions that had to be made. God said that I would be in Evangelism ministry, and that I would lay hands on those that are sick and they would recover. When I get the tape of the prophecy, I will share more in another update.

My plane flight back to Canada on June 13th was a very long one. The plane out of Minneapolis, Minnesota was cancelled, and another one was not scheduled to leave for another four hours. I arrived in Winnipeg around 1am, and then had to drive back in pouring rain to Brandon, Manitoba. I arrived home around 4am, talked to my friend Wayne for half an hour, went to bed, and was up again at 7am again to do hair services.

I have applied for two of three Band Positions in the Henderson School District, and have put my name in for substitute teaching as well. Other jobs Peggy Lou said are very easily to get, as they are looking for people to fill many positions in the area. I am also in the process of completing landed immigrant status papers for Peggy to get her into Canada. At the present time, God is leading us to be together in Henderson, Texas. Peggy is coming to meet people in the Brandon and Swan River, Manitoba before going to Texas. She will be helping me drive back. This has changed, as it costs too much for only one way airfare. We will travel up to Canada together at a later date.

I am getting a U-Haul trailer to pull behind my car to bring some of the bare essentials I will need for the time I will be spending in Texas. God will open and shut doors as to His leading in our lives.

Please pray for us. I will be putting more information about our lives on the website in further updates. Also this prison ministry website will be transferred to another site on the Internet by the end of June 2000. The new site will be www.geocities.com/new_ton7

We can be contacted through Peggy Lou’s e-mail address which is [email protected]
