Durango - Silverton Train Trip

We took a trip from Durango to Silverton, a 3 hour trip, on an old-fasioned coal train.

At one point, the train went along the edge of a cliff, with a river at the bottom. The tracks were laid straight through the mountains. The elevation change between Durango and Silverton goes up 3000 feet.

The windows on the train would open to get better views outside the train. Many of us enjoyed sticking our heads out to feel the breeze, and Sarah, Corey, Angela, Jess, and Gayle thought it was just fun.

Before leaving, we wanted to have out picture taken in front of the train.
