Thank You Letter to the Sponsors:

Dear Faithful Sponsor,
Thank you for your generous donation of prayer and finance. The missions trip to Matamoras was a great success, with the 7 days that God has provided us, changes took place, not only the people of Matamoras, but also us, the students. While there, we accomplished many things. We worked together with a local church, called Igelisa de Pienel, the church was very humble, it was small, only a bit bigger than a normal master bedroom, and it was not even fully constructed, but that didnt matter, this was house of God, what matters is that the presence of God was there. The pastor of the church was Pastor Ivan, he was only 20 years old, he never had any pastoral training before, but yet his messages were powerful and encouraging, we have no doubt that God was moving in him. The church was built in the center of a large neighborhood, it was fairly easy for people to just walk over to the church in a matter of only a few minutes. The houses people lived in around the church were humble as well , most of them were no bigger than about 2 small room, yet a whole family lives there, seeing this just give us a sense just how much God loves us, how much grace God has just poured over us. To our surprise, the people there were very generous, when we did door to door missions, we simply yelled out HOLA, and people living there would come rushing out, they would invite us in, give us drinks or food, and they were very willing to hear what we had to share with them. So while there, we did a lot of things, we did door to door missions, sport evangelism, plaza evangelism, Vocational Bible School, helped out at rehab center, help constructing the church, ALT(Ask The Lord) and a lot of other things. We also bonded with the people from other churches, some came from California, some from Indiana, some from Ohio, and some even came as far as Maine. We had a great time in getting to know each other, for we are all one body of Christ. The place which we stayed in was call The Gateway, it use to be medium sized warehouses, but then it was transformed to inhabit missionaries, the water there smelled like sulfur, the shower had no pressure, the climate was hot, a little hotter than Houston, but we knew that we were not in Matamoras not as critics, but were here to minister to the people there. By end of the week, we knew that our time has come to a closing end, a lot of us were sad because we wanted to stay in Matamoras forever, we just had such a great time, and God just showed us so many things. We grew closer not only to God, but also the people there. But we felt like God was telling us, that, the mission trip doesnt have to end in Matamoras, it can continue to Houston, to wherever we go in the future, whatever our living condition becomes, whatever career we pick, we can share the message of Christ, we save others by doing so, as long we rely on Gods will and power. Also it comforts us, knowing that, the people we met in Matamoras, that well see them again when we come together with Christ. That goes to you, the sponsor as well, if you dont have time to go to a foreign country to do ministry, you can start here in the states, by telling others about Jesus, it may be one of your friends, a family member, some one at work or a non-Christian that you know. We know that it can be scary things at first, but be bold and do not be afraid, because the gospel is what can save them. Jesus said in Luke 10:2, The harvest is plentiful, but the labors are few, so I encourage you, to use your life in order to glorify Christ, because our time here on earth is just so short comparing to eternity in heaven. Once again I thank you for your faithfulness, and I pray that God will show you what He had showed us in Mexico.

All for the King!!!!
