Stud males

New Kingdom is currently home to two two newly arrived silver Egyptian Mau studs, one US import, CH Maullenium's Zadok of New Kingdom and one Belgian import, CH Mauisha Nepherhotep of New Kingdom. Nepherhotep is now at stud to approved and tested Egyptian Mau queens. Please contact me for further information.

Mauisha Nepherhotep of New Kingdom
CFA Champion

Sire: CFA Champion, New Kingdom Leander of Mauisha (silver)
Dam: CFA Champion, Mauisha Nitocris (silver)

Nepherhotep's pedigree is available on request. His sire New Kingdom Leander is from New Kingdom Octavia (Qetesh x Mihos) and Matiki's C C Rider of New Kingdom.

DOB: 21st Jan 2007
Colour: Silver, known to carry smoke, AaI?.

Breeder: Isabelle de Bakker (Mauisha Cattery, Belgium)

I have to thank Isabelle de Bakker for letting me have Nepherhotep, and for agreeing to keep him for the time necessary to get his passport. Nepherhotep arrived from Belgium via the PETS travel scheme in March 2008. He is a clean-coloured silver with good contrast, bright green eyes and a very, very sweet temperament. He is a largish boy with a very long elegant body. Although I bred Nepherhotep's sire. Leander, through his dam he brings new blood to the UK Mau genepool. Nepherhotep has done well at CFA shows in Europe. In his last kitten show he ended up being the highest scoring allbreed kitten! I am hoping to show him in GCCF as soon he is registered in the UK. Nepherhotep sired his first litter of five silvers and a smoke in Belgium before coming to the UK.

Maullenium's Zadok of New Kingdom
CFA Champion

Sire: CFA Champion, Maullenium's Luke Mauwalker (silver)
Dam: CFA Champion, Maullenium's Rehema (silver)

DOB: 15 April 2007
Colour: Silver, genotype currently unknown

Breeder: Dorothy and Jim Mardulier (Maullenium Cattery, Florida, USA)

Zadok showing off his flashy pattern.

Zadok arrived from the USA via the PETS travel scheme in March 2008. I have to thank Dot Mardulier for letting me have this sweet, long legged boy, and Melanie Morgan for looking after him for the six months it took to get his passport. His strong points are his spectacular clarity and contrast and also his very sweet temperament. He brings entirely new lines to the UK Mau genepool including those from Dot Brocksom's Brockhaven cattery. Zadok is not currently proven and is not available for stud service at the moment.

Emau's Tetris of New Kingdom
CFA Grand Champion

Sire: CFA Grand Champion, Shansih Twice A Brat (silver)
Dam: CFA Grand Champion, Breed Winner and Regional Winner, Emau's Mau Pounce For The Ounce, DM (silver)
Pedigree not currently available

DOB: 15th July 2002
Colour: Silver - pure silver homozygous genotype AAII.

Breeder: David and Melanie Morgan (Emau Cattery, USA)

Tetris arrived from Melanie Morgan's Emau cattery in Virginia, USA in July 2003 via the PETS travel scheme. He is a gorgeous clean-coloured silver with superb contrast, bright green eyes and a very sweet temperament. He has a beautiful worried expression and lovely refined boning for a male. In many ways he takes after his beautiful mother Pounce who was a national Best of Breed in CFA. At GCCF shows Tetris has won three Merit certificates and two Intermediate Certificates. He was also joint best Egyptian Mau male in GCCF in the 2003-2004 show season. He holds the coverted title of CFA Grand Champion and was 2nd Best Egyptian Mau in the CFA International Division in 2003-4. Tetris has produced some wonderful kittens--all silver spotted-- most of which seem to have inherited his sweet temperament. Tetris was neutered in February 2008 and has now retired to enjoy life as a pampered pet.

New Kingdom Mithril
CFA Grand Champion

Sire: CFA Grand Champion, Sharbees Mihos of New Kingdom (silver)
Dam: CFA Grand Champion, J's Iris Qetesh of New Kingdom (silver)

DOB: 7th July 2003
Colour: Silver - genotype AaI? - Mithril has so far produced silver and smoke kittens.

Breeder: Melissa Bateson

Mithril is the cat that everyone wants to take home with them due to his striking spots, gorgeous face and sweet trusting nature. Mithril is the last male kitten produced by my foundation stud cat Mihos before he was neutered. He combines the best features of both of his parents, having his mother, Qetesh's clean silver colour, perfect pattern and very worried expression and Mihos's crystal clear contrast, lovely coat texture and elegant body type. At GCCF shows Mithril was the first male Mau to be awarded three ICs (the equivalent of becoming a Champion in a breed with Championship status), and was the highest scoring male Mau in the 2004-5. At CFA shows in continental Europe Mithril recently earned his Grand Champion title beating his housemate Tetris in all six rings of his final show as a Champion! Mithril is the first CFA Grand Champion that I have bred. In the 2004-5 show season Mithril was 3rd best Egyptian Mau in CFA's International Division. Mithril has sired beautiful spotty kittens in both silver and smoke. We do not know whether he carries bronze yet. Mithril made the long journey to Australia in 2007 to help establish the Egyptian Mau breed over there.
