This is the movie that started it all for Troma studios. It focuses on Melvin, a janitor at a local Health Spa, who constantly gets picked on by the customers.
One day while Mevlin is cleaning up, he catches two people making out and they chase after him. The only escape, jumping out a window. Melvin lands onto a park truck which is carrying nuclear toxic waste.
The toxic waste mutates him into THE TOXIC AVENGER! Fighter of Truth, Justice and The American Way and along the way make out with a blind chick. Go Melvin!
When the movie first got released, they had to edit out the head-crushing scene. The scene involves one of the Spa Patrons knocking a kid off his bike and then running his head over.
People assumed it was real, but all it was was a watermelon with a wig and hat. Some people are so stupid.
Troma makes movies that you rent on a day you are really sick, they'll either really entertain you or put you to sleep.
