Ready to Rumble
Directed by Brian Robbins

This movie was surprisingly funny. David Arquette has become quite annoying in his collect call ads and the last 2 Scream sequels, so I though he would be annoying as hell in this, but he wasn't, he was quite funny with great comedic timing.

The plot focuses on Gordie Boggs (Arquette) favorite wrestler, Jimmy King (played by Oliver Platt) being cheated out of his WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMIONSHIP BELT by the promoter of WCW (Worlds Crappest Wrestlers). Gordie and his best friend Sean Dawkins (played by Scott Caan) go on a mission to get Jimmy his belt back.

Along the way, we get to see some of WCW's top talent acting better then they do on their own show. Face it wrestler can't act, look at all the crappy movies Terry "Hulk" Hogan made.

When you hit the middle the movie it starts to slows down and you get bored, but stay around for the end of the movie for the Triple Cage Match between Oliver Platt and Diamond Dallas Page. Its quite cool, especially when DDP falls. It almost puts Mick (Mankind) Foley's plunge off the steel cage look pathetic, except Micks was real.

The one thing I never expected was the outtakes at the end which are hilarious. Theres a great montage of Oliver Platt getting hit in the groin.

I was quite surprises as to how funny some of the stuff was in this film. Maybe being a fan of wrestling I got some of the in-jokes.
