Jurassic Park
Directed by Steven Spielberg

7 years after its premire, Jurassic Park still gives me chills when I watch it. The scene when the first see the Brontosaurs, god that scene, makes me feel like a kid.

Of course when I first saw it, I was 12 years old, it was way more impressive. I thought they were real.

I think the fact of cloning Dinos, could actually be done now, with all the advancments in cloning technology.

I won't even bother to tell you what the movie is about, I'm sure everyone has seen this movie. I saw it 5 times and every time it got better.

The visual effects are outstanding, I'm so glad they went with the CGI effects in stead of Stop Motion effects. Of crouse when they switch to Animatronics to CGI, you could really see it.

When I was watching this, I couldn't get out of my head the fact this is not really an action movie; its a Monster Movie, like Godzilla, Gamera and King Kong and Monster Movies are  a sub-category of Horror. So technically speaking Jurrasic Park is the first big-budgeted horror movie.

Of course people will argue thats its not, thats its an action movie and it is that too. Thats why it's listed as an Action/Horror movie or Survival Horror a la Resident Evil.

Not matter what it is, its a great movie, with great special effects. Unfortunately JP 2 sucked and JP3 probably will too but I'll go see it.
