Hellraiser V: Inferno

Hellraiser Bloodline was pretty bad until this came along, now we have a new king of crap. (In terms of Hellraiser movies that is.)

The story follows a corrupt cop in LA. He finds the puzzle box and successfully opens it. When will people learn that thing is evil!

Suddeny people start dying, and at every crime scene is a childs finger, everything seems to point towards a bloke named The Engineer.

Now as a Hellraiser movie, you expect to see a crap load of leather clad people hurting people. Well, there are leather clad people, but they ain't doing much.

There's the return of Chatter, who was in the previous Hellraiser movies but he's been cut in half somehow.  How I don't know, I don't rememebr him from Hellraiser 4, but I think he was in Hellraiser 3 and its been awhile since I've seen them.

Undoubtable, you'll hear people say this movie is a sack of shit, it should have never been made. Hell even Clive Barker hates it, he openly admitted it.

But, I actually like the police story to it, not the Hellraiser elements. I feel Inferno suffers the same fate of Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. They both could have been better without the association to a successful series of movies.

If you're jonesing for a rental at the local vid store, go for it, but be forwarned, don't expect alot from it.

I hope Hellraiser 6 is better, if it ever gets made.
