Police Story 1 (A.K.A. - Police Force)

Directed by: Jackie Chan

Let me just make somthing "crystal" I am a HUGE Jackie Chan Fan. I own EVERY single movie he's ever made. Most people have only seen what they have run on TV or redubbed and released in the theatres. What most people don't know that Jackie Chan is a fairly good actor, and a good majority of his movies have never been seen by the drooling Jackie Chan craving teen population. I could give a list of movies he's made.. but then I would probally end up reviewing each and every one of them..
*thinks to himself... thats a good idea hmmm...* O sorry.. the review.. As I was saying, most people have never seen some of his best films. I was estatic when I saw "
Drunken Master 2" is coming to American theatres in OCT.

Now, with all that said. On with the review.

This movie was really Jackie Chan's first solo modern day action movie.. He did many GREAT modern films in the past, but they were collaborations with other actors such as
Sammo Hung, and Yuen Biao. This was his first as both director and actor.

The first ten minutes of this movie start out with one of the most amazing stunt scenes I've ever seen. A botched police sting operation causes a whole hillside  town to be destroyed.. Literally. The car chase that takes place, has the cars going over, under, and through houses in the town. And when you see the camera zoom in at the end and Jackie Chan himself gets out of the totaled car.. You almost have to clap.. But it doesn't end there.. The bad guys get away on a hijacked bus and Kevin (Jackie Chan) chases the bus down on foot, then In an amazing sequence, hangs onto the side of the bus with an umbrella (kind of like in "Super Cop") I read somewhere that this in this sequence, a few people were seriously hurt. He stops the bus and captures the bad guy (Koo)
The legendary Hong Kong actress
Brigitte Lin plays Koo's girlfriend/secrectary, and Kevin is assigned to protect her, and to cohearse information out of her so that they can convict Koo.
This leads to some very funny moments with Kevin and his girlfriend, played by equally famous
Maggie Cheung.

As the film progresses Kevin is framed for murder, pursued by the police, kidnaps his supervisor, and is attacked multiple times by Koo's thugs.

The last fight sequence is one of the most scectacular ever put onto celuloid.
It takes place inside of a mall, and has Kevin jumping floor to floor,  fighting on and off of escalators, and very, very kick ass fight choreography.
This leads to the capture of Koo, and a VERY pissed off Kevin.

This is a great movie, and shows the rare yet convincing serious side of Jackie Chan. If you want breathe taking stunts, a fast paced story, and amazing fight choreography this is a great movie for you.. Remember though.. most in most places this film will be known as "Police Force" or "Jackie Chan's Police Force"

Lupin-III

Note: "
Lupin's death count", and "funny things I noticed" apply only to movies          where such terms would apply. However.. I will make up for this by adding                 multimedia such as pictures, links, sounds, and even video clips of movies.
