History: Deral Kanne joined the Empire in its waning days. He fled with the rest of his group into Admiral Daala's service.

When things looked their worst, Deral was among the group that broke from Daala and decided to try things as mercenaries.

Life as a soldier-for-hire didn't appeal to Deral so he followed up on rumors of an Imperial Faction hiding in the far reaches of the galaxy.

After years of searching, just when he was about to give up, he was found by a sentry ship and taken to Shade, the homeplanet of the New Empire.

He has served well and considers the New Empire home and the center of the New Order.
