Ghost/Batgirl
#3
November, 2000.
Mike Kennedy and Ryan Benjamin
Price: $2.99 US, $4.50 CAN
Note: This is the third installment of the cross-over between
Dark Horse’s phasing heroine, Ghost, and our favourite Gotham vigilante,
Batgirl.
Synopsis: In Greymater’s lair in Arcadia, Greymater pulls bullets
out of Carver. We soon find out that Greymater will send Trixie, the Medusa-like
woman, to capture Ghost so that he can finally meet her. Outside Arcadia,
Two-Face reads the newspaper in his limousine. In Oracle’s hotel room,
the heroes are trying to figure things out. Batgirl suddenly hears something
and immediately puts her mask on. And, in the blink of an eye, Trixie and
a woman called Chris, who has super strength, blast their way into the
room...The fight is on! As the fight goes on, Batgirl uncharacteristically
jumps onto Chris’ back, only to be bitten by one of Trixie’s snakes, and
is knocked out. Then, Ghost allows herself to be kidnapped. (What was Oracle
doing the whole time???) Across town, Two-Face’s limousine arrives and
there is a confrontation between he and Greymater. Apparently, Two-Face
wants Carver and some others back. Greymater does not comply with Two-Faces
wishes, so a war is about to begin. In Greymater’s lair, Ghost finally
meets Greymater. We then are introduced to Greymater’s projects, which
are rather disgusting. Meanwhile, Batgirl wakes up and immediately goes
back on the job! Across town, Two-Face gathers his army. Unknown to him,
Trixie is there in disguise. Back in Greymater’s lair, we continue to find
out more about Greymater’s projects, and Ghost is not very pleased. Later
on, Leo calls Trixie, complaining about the “chicks” who were “harassing”
him. Outside his office, Batgirl watches on.
