#25 - EXTRA-SIZED ISSUE!

Synopsis: This is it! This is the fight issue we’ve all been
waiting for! It’s Batgirl vs. Shiva! And, the cover is amazing! This issue
starts off with Shiva appearing before her cult, or something like that.
We don’t know yet. In Batgirl’s cave, Batgirl is attempting to record a
personal message to Oracle. In the end, she does away with all the emotional
stuff and settles with an “I’m sorry” message for Batman. As she prepares,
Batgirl is confronted by Oracle, who tells her she knows everything about
the fight and about the past. Of course, that doesn’t stop Batgirl, and
soon, Batgirl is beaten and killed by Shiva. OUCH! So, is this the end?
Is the series over? Why do we get a bunch of ads followed by a blank page?
Well, we discover that Shiva was able to revive Batgirl. And, we also find
out that Batgirl went easy because she wanted to die to do away with her
guilt over killing that crime boss. Now, with the guilt gone, Batgirl fights
Shiva all-out! It’s a hard-fought battle, but in the end, Shiva is knocked
out. Batgirl ends the issue with, “I’ll… kill you. Not tonight.”
