Synopsis: This issue is part of the Joker: Last Laugh storyline,
and it starts off with Batgirl practicing in her cave. Midway through,
Spoiler appears and nearly gets her head taken off. Suddenly, Batgirl
vomits… EEW! Apparently, Oracle had been trying to contact Batgirl for
hours, so Spoiler was here to get her. At Oracle’s apartment, the girls
discuss what the Joker has been doing lately, and Batgirl is told to stay
out of the whole mess. Surprisingly, Batgirl agrees. Then, she goes to
the Holoroom to practice some more. Suddenly, the electricity in the apartment
goes out and before we know it, Shadow Thief (who is under the Joker’s
influence) appears. Batgirl takes him on outside. “Let’s go… ‘Ninja’.”
After some intense fighting, Shadow Thief is surprised to discover that
Batgirl has learned his techniques. And, to his dismay, Batgirl has also
learned how to get past his alien technology. As Batgirl goes for a punch
to the face, Oracle is able to disable Shadow Thief’s suit. When Spoiler
gets outside, she find Batgirl crying over an unconscious Shadow Thief.
After Spoiler saves his life, Batgirl returns to her cave to continue her
practicing… in preparation for the upcoming battle with Lady Shiva!
