Price: $2.50 US, $4.25 CAN
Synopsis: This one has an interesting cover. Anyway, the story
opens with a woman trying to write, but is interrupted by some loud noises.
She goes out to complain, and is shocked to see a priest holding a gun
and a dead man on the ground. The priest then kills her! As he moved on
to kill more people, Batgirl bursts onto the scene and knocks him out.
Outside, which the priest is being arrested, a man is going berserk shooting
a machine gun. When he throws a grenade, Batgirl catches it and launches
it into the sky with her grappling hook. She then proceeds to give him
the biggest butt-whoopin’ in his life! When she’s done, she notices a man
on a roof. She soon discovers that it’s a scientist with some gadget, which
he uses on her. When she wakes up, Batman is there to help her. He says
that the priest and the crazy, shootin’ man were driven insane by the Joker.
Batgirl is confused, but trusts Batman’s word. Later, they arrive at an
amusement part where the Joker is apparently hiding out. Batgirl is told
to guard the entrance while Batman takes care of the rest. Right as he
nears the entrance, Batman is shot dead by the Joker! Enraged, Batgirl
knocks the Joker around like a rag doll. Instead of killing his, though,
she ends up breaking the machine the scientist machine, which he was using
to screw around with her mind! Apparently, her reaction to the machine
was unexpected since her killing instinct kicked in IMMEDIATELY! Yikes!
Oh, and Batman didn’t die. (What, isn’t that like TWO times already that
Batman has ‘died’ in this title? Sheesh! LOL)
