Synopsis: The comic opens with Batgirl receiving a powerful
left cross from Batman while in training. Batgirl’s defense obviously needs
work now that she has lost her “special abilities”, and Batman gives her
a CD to help her out. Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem to care too much
about it, and becomes worse than before. At one point, Batgirl becomes
angry at not being able to go out as Batgirl and, during training, tells
Batman to punch her again and again after each punch. Batman finally
explains to Batgirl that he is holding her back because he doesn’t want
her to end up like Jason Todd, the second Robin. Later in the night, a
gang of thugs are about to break into a building when, all of a sudden,
Batgirl appears in a new costume that kinda makes her look like Sonic the
Hedgehog! In just two panels, the “trash” is taken out. The next day, Oracle
and Batgirl are in a store, and Oracle tells Batgirl she knows about what
happened the night before. That night, Batgirl wants to go out again...
and Oracle doesn’t stop her. Outside, Batgirl sees Shiva, who she was warned
to stay away from. Batgirl, after removing her face paint, follows Shiva
into an expensive restaurant and eventually discovers that she is going
to kill a little girl who is part of some royal family in a foreign country.
When the girl appears, Shiva takes out the guards. Batgirl tries to jump
in... but receives a left cross. “This SUCKS.”
