New Avenue Crew

A block party of bears by Debora Hoffmann

Family Album

Trudi, Gunnison, and Tanner

Trudi, Gunnison, and Tanner

This is a group of bears Debora made in Southern California in the year 2000 (though Gunnison, the black-and-tan bear in the middle, was actually finished in Colorado). The bears are each made from the first pattern Debora designed after the turn of the century; the pattern is called "Bear 2000." These bears are each about 11 inches tall, made of German mohair, and fully jointed.

Trudi lives with Madeleine in Corona del Mar, California. Gunnison and his brother, Ebony-zer, are both made from the same black German mohair and live with Debora's aunt Becky in Reseda, California. And Tanner lives with Debora's cousin McKayla in Sacramento, California.
