A Jewel So Rare God searched through his jewels in Heaven one day, He looked at the jewels in Jesus bright ray. He picked out the prettiest Jewel so rare, There was only one like her, none else could compare, To the Jewel he found with the golden blond hair. God had chosen a family, not just any would do She would need someone to sing to her, Jesus loves you. A Dad and a Mother and Alex her brother. He knew they would love her like they loved each other. He told her he loved her and how she'd be missed And sent her on her way with one last kiss, he knew When she left she'd not have to be gone long She would have to come back to her heavenly home. So into this world she came one day in May and none of us knew just how long she would stay. It seemed like a short time till she had to leave And oh how we would miss her and how we would grieve. But he missed her too, his jewel so rare That he's sent to earth with golden blond hair. He took her home then, in heaven to stay. Where she could run and jump and play. by Glenda Bradley January 21 1997 |
