How Long Will I Grieve?
Each day now  I wait,
For this pain to cease.
For Joy to return,
Just  to find  some relief.

But the days go on by,
And they turn into weeks.
And the weeks become years,
And the cycle repeats.

No completion of grief,
No end to this pain,
As each little memory,
Only brings it again.

The edges may soften,
The horror  may blur,
But the hole in my heart,
Still remains very clear.
