POEMS |
Poetry is something that is very
personal to both author and reader. I have been writing poetry since I was
in high school. Not to give too much information but that was a generation
ago. As time passed and I studied more, my poems have matured. I took a
class in poetry several years back. It was at a local community college.
The class really opened up my eyes to what poetry can be. For many years I
was one that thought that a good poem had to rhyme. Well I have found that
to be incorrect. A poem can rhyme or not. For me, rhyming seems to at
times limit what I want to say. If I am forced to choose a word that
rhymes I often have to compromise what i really wish to say.
Here are a few of my poems in no particular order or category (that will come later I hope). I hope you enjoy them. |
