[ "Naughty" Shirts Must Be Stopped! ] ( Stupid things scare me. )  You know what I'm talking about. They're being sold everywhere; every teenybopper outlet store and even the most prominent couture peddlers have a line all to themselves. I'm talking about ugly, faux-retro, "naughty" logo tees. They're a travesty and they must be stopped. Now.  Don't get me wrong. I'm just a youngster myself, but when even *I'm* appalled by some the innuendo printed on these heinous articles of clothing, society's hit a new low, people. There's no excuse for a shirt like this: 
Imagine a young female you know. Perhaps a beloved daughter, a little sister, or a cousin. Now imagine her wearing something like this to her middle school: (In case you can't read the text, it says "You don't know pie until you Buster Cherry")  Scary, yes? Yes. Regardless of the whether or not the child (or anyone one else, for that matter) "gets" it, think about one, ultimately crucial, question. Have *you* ever seen anyone look good in one of these? Someone who didn't look like a hooker on a holiday? Someone who wore it with grace, style, and Audrey Hepburn-like class? For that matter, can you picture Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly in one of these monstrosities? If you can't bear to picture it on Audrey or Grace, it sure as hell isn't fit for mere mortals such as ourselves.  I implore everyone to please, *please* get over this trend. These shirts are not cheerfully "naughty"; they're just vulgar and tasteless. These shirts are bringing down America, people. Nay! The free world as a whole! Who do I blame for this? Britney. Christina. Heck, even some of the male celebs. Brad? You started this with 'Jesus is my Home Boy'. For shame. Just one warning before I end this rant...  *This* is what happens when we let a trend go too far; we descend into a pit of eternal ignorance and abominable fashion. ^^^^ |
