The Beginning

It all started on a warm Alaskan summer day. I was working at the Seward Windsong Lodge for the summer and I just so happened to be not working (do I ever) and talking to my good friend Ryan O'Mara on the tele. I looked up when I saw a fellow co-worker walk by and following him was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. At first I could not see her because of the extreme amount of beautiful radiant light beaming from her but as she walked passed and I caught my first glimpse of her. My heart jumped out of my chest and onto the hardwood deck I was sitting on.
Later that day I had the pleasure of introducing myself to this beautiful girl. She told me her name was Anna. I said "My name is Nick. You know, our names go together well. How's about you and me go out for a wounderful night with an elegant candle lit dinner down in town later?"
She laughed at me and walked back to her cabin to finish moving her belongings in. A few days later, still nervous around this pretty girl, I got the courage up to hang out with her while we were both working. I found out that she had lived in Arizona too and I was like "cool" and like "sweet" and stuff.
A few days later we went for a small hike around Old Exit Galcier Road where I continually ran her off the side of the road because I wanted to get closer to her (she thought I was an annoying prick I tell ya what.) A few days after that we went for a rendezvous down by the Resurrection River where we got to learn more about each other, but with an annoying 30 year old baby who go drunk and was all whining because he was old and stupid and "had no friends".
We continued to hang out for the remainder of the summer and had tons of adventures. I was continually jealous of this bastard named Michael who was trying to take my Anna from me. The day that prick left was a joyous day for me. Anna talked me out of going to boot camp for the Marine Corps and convinced me to move to Colorado with her.
The end of the Summer drew near and my Anna left me to go back to school in Durango, Colorado. She did not believe that I would ever come back down to live with her. I did. Duh.

The Middle

So I arrived in Durango and we continued our lives together where we last left off. Most of the time there the money was tight, but we didn't care, as long as there was popsicles in the freezer and Mac and Cheese in the pantry, and we had each other we were golden. Anna continued to go to school and worked at the school in a work study program, and I worked at the Durango Quick Lube as a grease monkey.
One night while camping in the woods under the shadow of Mt. Engineer, I had the nerves and courage to ask Anna something that was building and burning inside me since the summer I met her. I asked her to marry me. She ,obviously, said yes.
On December 10, 2003 Ms. Anna Rose Mary Rowe married Mr. Nicholas Jay Enzweiler. Things from now on are 1,000,000,000 times better with my loving wife Anna in my life.
Though everything else was dandy, the money was not handy so we moved to Arizona to live with my parents for a few months.

The Present

After Arizona round 1 we moved back to Alaska with the intention of staying there. The summer was awesome for the most part exept for one sorrowful event. Our first pregnancy did not go very well. We were to have twins but nature did not allow for such a blessing and our little ones were lost due to complications. Rest in peace little ones. Mommy and Daddy love you.
When summer ended we made the decision to head back south and spend some time in AZ again. October brought good news once again. We are now awaiting the arrival of our first child. The little rascal will be here before we know it. And that's the story so far. Chapter 6 is just about to begin!

The More Present

July 1, 2005 was one of our greatest days ever. Mali Aurora Enzweiler was born at Phoenix Baptist Hospital. She is the most perfect baby ever. Her hair was brown when she was born but has changed to a beautiful blonde. Her brilliant blue eyes shine with wonder and amazement. At the time I am writing this she is now days from reaching her fourth month. She is growing at a rate I never imagined. We are the most blessed parents ever to have such a wonderful child.
Coming to the end of October now (I know you all didn't see this coming) we are moving to Washington. I have a new job paying great. Life is on the up and up for us. Chapter 7 is about to begin. Stay tuned...

The End? - Never.
