This is a basic outline of our agreement. You can choose from choice A), or
choice B). After reading this and you have decided to become part of Never Met
Records, you must first email me back this form, included on it is what kind of
agreement you want. You can cut and paste stuff on here. Perhaps you just want
help with merchandise/ ECT. Or there is something in it that you dont like. You
can take it out, but once its sent to me its sent. The Next step is that I
approve it. The Third and final step is that you need to send this form to me
via snail mail, signed by a person in your band. They must be at least 18 years
old. The only way to ensure that is by having you photocopy an ID, or drivers license to the contract when you send it.

.AGREEMENT 'A'.
(((Signing Plan)))

1.) We like our bands to pay for
the recording studio.

This allows them the choice of what studio to use, and also allows them to opt out of any agreement with us. If they decide to release something on there own, or through another label, the band is then quite able, as we havent put anything into it ourselves.
2.) We pay for the pressing, promotion,
distribution, ect. of said recording.

We also pay for the merchandise.
3.) When we make an order for
a pressing we get half of the pressing,
the band then gets the other half.
For example. if make an order for 1000 CDs, we get 500; the band gets 500. After the first  order, the band must pay for  any additional pressings.
4
.) We like label friendly bands.
For example, Phil, the bass player for Help Me Help Me I Can't Breathe, is also the webmaster for this site. Brian, the guitar player for Help Me Help Me I Can't Breathe, does our photos. This is not a requirement but, we tend to work harder for the bands that work hard for us.
5.) We like to sell bands old merchandise.
We buy older items at a reduced cost. For example, lets say you have an old CD out that you are currently selling for $8. We will
buy it for $6, and sell it at the same price as you. This is another way to make your band some money.
6.) Bands can trade merchandise.
Either with other bands either on the label, or in our distribution. For example, you have your CD and for whatever reason its not doing that well. You can then trade  5 CDs to us for 5 CDs we distribute and sell them as if they were your own.
7.) I like to meet with each band
at least once a month.

I like to catch up with them and see where they are at. You can also email Phil and give him your updates or tour info.
8.) We have a distribution ring that goes within Never Met Me as well as with other labels.
In addition to meeting with you once a month, I like to be able to sell some of our items at your shows at least once a month.
.AGREEMENT 'B'.
(((Distribution Plan)))

The band pays for everything (recording, pressing, etc). Never Met Me will then buy merchandise at a two dollar reduced rate,, and sell them at the regular price. We then pay the band to include our logo, website, and catalog number on said merchandise. The catalog is simply NMM then numberof release it is.The amount of money  depends on the band. You tell us what you think is fair, and then we will negotiate. In addition, the band gets all proceeds from radio play. However, we get the proceeds from compilations. The idea is that both of these are advertisements, both for your band and our label. We
will pay to have bands on compilations. If an offer arises which includes the band paying to be an addition to the compilation, we will take care of the necessary funds.
You may cut and paste to decide what contract suits you better.
After it meets your needs, please send it to Justin for approval.

Thank you for your time and business.
