911 As History
Produced by the New York based families and Work Institute with a grant from Chicago's Bank One, the site offers lesson plans organized by age and content, as well as tips for teachers on how to help the children del with their feelings. Subjects in the lesson plans include discussions on heros, values, resiiency, and putting the event in historical context.

The National Association of School Psychologists'
This site offers suggestions for educators and caregivers about how schools can prepare in advance for 11 Sept, and tips on planning school-based memorials. It also provides information on the potential reactions of students and staff.

National Center for Children
The site of the National Center for Children Exposed to Violence at the Child Study Center at Yale University offers guides for teachers, administers and parents about how to talk to children about 9/11/01.

The National Education Association
The association is preparing "September 11th Remembered," a packge of 100 lesson plans organized by grade and topic. The program, set to be launched 6 August 2002, can be found on this wewbsite.

The Phoenix Project
The Phoenix Project of the Mental Health Association in New Jersey has produced a video and accompanying workbook, "Helping School Staff Prepare for the 9-11 Anniversary," to be distributed to more than 4,000 schools in the state. A viedo and booklet,
"9/11, A Time for Remembering: A Guide for Schools," addresses how to look for signs of distress in children, and suggestions on how to observe the day in schools.
