Please inform us briefly about yourself.
The Mistress - I'm from Michigan and I've loved music
since I was a young child. I always wanted to work in
the music business thus I became a promoter. I sang
in a band for a while but decided I liked other
aspects of music better.
Most of people in the International extreme metal
scene must’ve know you and the activities you do and
but maybe there are some people only have heard about
you without knowing the activities you really do.
Please tell us the details what exactly you do in the
extreme metal scene ?
The Mistress - Mostly, I just promote the mistress
bands on the internet. I spread the word through my
website & newsletters each week about my activities
with Xwarp Extreme Promotions & Brutality Radio. I
try to get involved in death fests that has a few
mistress bands in the line-up and promote the fest for
my bands. 99% of what I do is for the mistress bands.
I create and moderate fan clubs for them. Visiting
my website will give you a better idea of what I do.
What made you start Xwarp Promotion and Brutality
radio ? Is there any special reason ? missions ?
messages ? or what ?
The Mistress -I started promoting 3 years ago because
I love the music and the underground! I wanted to
help spread the word about bands & provide them with a
useful resource. I started Brutality Radio
approximately 2 years ago to give death metal bands a
place to have their music heard 24/7 and to provide
everyone with a death metal radio station. There
is'nt to many death metal stations so I thought it was a great idea.[It is, Laura - Editor].
How do you manage between those 2 activities ?
The Mistress - Its very difficult to keep up sometimes
but I don't work a job so I have pretty much all day
to do whatever is necessary.
Do you run and maintain it all by yourself ? or you
have friends or staffs helping you ?
The Mistress - I Run Both Xwarp Extreme Promotions &
Brutality All By Myself. I Don't Need A Staff.
I Like Things Done a Certain Way - My Way!
What are your current activities with the XWARP and
Brutality radio ?
The Mistress - Basically, just working with all the
mistress bands & promoting them anyway I can.
Brutality Radio does'nt require as much of my time,
its just basically keeping up with new music to add to
my playlist. I do however, hold a monthly contest for
other bands, labels or whomever is interested to win
merchandise on Brutality Radio.

The Mistress - Well, I love the mistress bands! They
allow me to represent them in my own way & in all the things
I do for them. If a person was to take the time to
check out each mistress band on my website, they will realize that
no two mistress band is the same. They each have
their own style and sound & they all represent my
different musical tastes. So in a sense, we represent each other.
What extreme music do you listen to ? is it brutal
death ? gore ? grind ? what ?
The Mistress - I listen to brutal death & grind.
Do you always listening to the extreme stuff ? if not,
what other music do you find yourself enjoy listening to them ?
The Mistress - No, not always. I listen to various
genres of metal. But....all the bands I listen to are
underground bands. Just to name a few, I like The
Brain Chiggers, Disarray, Super Joint Ritual & Alabama
Thunderpussy. But, 99% of the time I listen to death metal.
Can you name your top 10 all time favorite extreme metal bands ?
The Mistress - I refuse to answer this question on the
basis that some of the mistress bands might kill me...hahaha!
What have been you listening to lately ?
The Mistress - Neuraxis - Truth Beyond, Pyrexia - All
Their Cd's, Lust Of Decay - Infesting The Exhumed,
Altar- In The Name Of The Father & Sadomasochism -
Worship The Dark. Just way to many to name them all.
Please tell us your personal opinion about MTV?#060;/span>
The Mistress - MTV is great for the mainstream bands,
but I don't watch MTV & really have no opinion.
What do you think about the Nu metal trends these days
? Do you really thinks that’s they’re metal ? Please explain?#060;/span>
The Mistress - I don't keep up with the Nu Metal
trends so I really can't answer your question.
Since you’re a woman, do you feel offended when you
find certain band’s lyrics inspired by the violence
against female (torture, molesting, etc.), porn gore
grind lyrics, female sexual exploitation, etc. Please explain.
The Mistress - No, Its been my experience that people
don't actually act or treat women in that manner.
And if they did, there would be consequences I'm sure
they would'nt want to deal with. I've always been
treated with respect. Besides, most of the time, you
can't understand the singer anyways....hahahaha!!
What do you do beside the XWARP and Brutality radio ? Hobbies ?
The Mistress - I like watching movies, spending time
with my family & going to as many shows & fests as possible.
What do you think about bands below (explain 1 by 1) :
SLIPKNOT, LIMP BIZKIT, MUDVAYNE, SOULFLY, MUSHROOMHEAD?#060;/span>
The Mistress - I don't like any of those bands except
for Soulfly. The reason being, I like the tribal
metal sound Soulfly puts out.[I think Soulfly is boring.There "tribal" touch is just too much !

Tell me in your own words, the meaning of “POSERS?
And can you give examples of some posers (bands and persons) ?
The Mistress - The word "Poser" to me means bands that
try to act & be metal when in fact their music is lame
& boring and has no real metal sound to it! Poser
bands to me are bands like Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park &
all bands that mix rap with metal.

What you enjoy more, horror movies, gore movies or what ? like what ?
The Mistress - Horror & Sci-Fi Movies.
Inform us the thinks you really love in the extreme
metal scene ? And the thinks you really hate in the
extreme metal scene ?
The Mistress - I love the fact that death metal has so
many fests and bands to check out and listen to! The
fests are a blast & its so great to see so many
awesome bands all in one place! The only thing I hate
about the extreme metal scene is that its impossible
for me to promote all the bands on my site the way I
do the mistress bands. I hate having to tell bands
who ask if I would promote them "No" because I'm only
one person doing it all myself. I could never keep up!
