Dave is the "most mature" member of Blur at the ripe old age of 33. He comes from Colchester and grew up playing the bagpipes and later the drums. He even took jazz drumming lessons from Bob Coxon for a time. Dave went to Polytechnic and learned to do fun computer stuff, stuff that would probably be good for us to know right now. Also, as everyone knows, Dave flies an airplane- just like my friend Laura. In fact, I wonder if Dave and Laura would get along. Dave is a Taurus, a sign which I know relatively nothing about. But Dave likes it that way. He likes his privacy- which is fine by us cuz we love him just the way he is. Dave plays the drums like an angel. Actually, when Christian missionaries went to Africa, they associated drumming with "Pagan" rituals and banned it in many societies. Just thought you'd like to know. The very first Blur interview I ever read was with Dave. You should read it. He seems nice. I'm sure he's nice. He's Dave. He's ace.
