| Chap 13 ~*~*~Later the Night~*~*~ "Did ya like the show baby?" "Yeah Benj I loved it." Lindsay said as she sat on Benji's lap. "Is there anything you need from that hell hole before we leave in the morning?" "Nope. I keep everything I care about in my car." "Ok baby. When we wake up you and I will go to your car and follow behind the bus." "K. I hope you don't get in trouble for this babe." "Sweetie, don't worry. You are 17 almost 18. You have bruises all over your body. If the cops find us I will tell them you left now because we didn't think you would make it to 18." "Benj are you sure?" "Yes. I am not letting any one take you from me this time. It almost killed me last time..." "Me too." "Hey no more of that. I am here and you are not going anywhere." Lindsay smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. "I know Benj. I promise I will never do that again." "Ok let�s get some sleep." Benji took her to his bunk. She lay in his arms smiling. She was finally home. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "Benj! Em! Get up we have to leave like now!" Joel yelled from the front of the bus. Lindsay came out first. "Is he up?" "No." Lindsay laughed. "Ok. Let's let him sleep and you and I will drive your car." "Ok Joely." Lindsay and Joel got off the bus and into her car. Joel started it and pulled out of the lot following the tour bus down the road. Lindsay looked scarred when her cell started to ring. "It's Dad." "Answer it. Stay calm." Lindsay nodded and picked up the phone. "Hello....No...Cuz I am never going back there.....I was with some of my best friends.....I am 17 I will be 18 in two months.....Goodbye.......No I will not come back....Hey you got me this car did ya really think I would not leave in it?.....Gotta go Dad I am out of area now..... bye." Lindsay put the phone down and looked at Joel. "You did good. Think he will come looking for you?" "Joel he told me he hopes I go to hell and to never come crawling back for money." Both of them laughed. "Who is that?" Joel asked as she picked up his ringing cell phone. "Hey baby." She said answering it. "Yeah we will see ya in a few." "Benj up?" "Yeah. He said to pull into the diner up here." "You ok?" "Couldn't be better. I am back with the love of my life." Joel pulled into the diner and Benji opened the door for Lindsay. "Baby I forgot to give this to you earlier." Benji pulled the promise ring out of his pocket and slipped it on Lindsay's finger. "Aww Benj." "I was gonna give it to ya the night you left." "Oh." Lindsay looked down. "It is not your fault. Let's go eat." Benji kissed her and they walked in the diner. |
