Chap 1 "Bye Dad," Lindsay said up the stairs. "I'm off to the prison they call high school." She walked out the door toward the bus stop. Lindsay was 15 and in the 10th grade. She was being lazy today so she put on a pair of baggie black pants and a Rancid shirt she stole from her boyfriend. The bus stop was empty but she knew she was not late because her boyfriend would have waited for her. "Billy your gonna get it if ya don't knock it off," Lindsay laughed. Billy was bugging Joel again. She sat down and looked down the street. Billy and Chris came running with Joel close behind. "Hey Linds," Joel said sitting down by her. He watched as Billy and Chris kept running. "Hey Joel." Lindsay was still looking down the street. "He and Paul are taking their time. Something is messed up in Paul's bass so he in telling Benj to see if he can help." Lindsay nodded. A minute later Benji and Paul walked up to the bus stop. Benji sat by Lindsay. "Hey Tiger." "Hey Baby." Lindsay said as Benji lent over and kissed her. "Aw look at the two lovebirds...Owww! Hey Joel that hurt," Paul said rubbing his arm. "Good. Let's go get Billy and Chris." "Fine," Paul said in a sour tone. They walked down the street to find the youngest members of their little group. "That shirt looks familiar." Lindsay smiled. "Yeah I stole it from ya." Benji laughed. "Ok baby." Billy, Paul, Chris, and Joel came back and sat on the curb by Benji and Lindsay. "So Linds, we have history, English and PE together right?" Paul asked. "Yep." "I wish I was in you gym class Tiger," Benji said putting his arm around her. "Well we have creative writing and chem. with her and ya are in her German class too." Benji smiled and nodded to Joel. "Do we have any lunches together?" Billy chimed in. "Me, Tiger, and Joel have both and we all have one together," Benji never took his eyes off Lindsay. "Bus!" Paul yelled. Benji stood up and took Lindsay's hand to help her up. The bus stopped and Lindsay was the 1st one on the bus. She sat down in an empty seat. Benji got on next and sat by her. The others got on and sat in other empty seats. "Ya look nice baby." "Benj I look like crap." She looked at him. He had a stud in his lip and hoop earrings in his ears. His hair was spiked and each spike had a blue tip. He had on a ball necklace. The black shirt matched his shorts that had patches of everything from Rancid to Sliverchair. "No, ya look good.� Benji smiled. "I have 2 gifts for ya. Call it your early birthday gifts.� Lindsay face lit up. Benji handed her 2 boxes. She opened the smaller of the 2. It was a mix of black, blue, red, and green rubber bracelets. "Thank ya Benj!" She said as she opened the other box. There was a spiked collar, a blue star on a black chain, and a class ring on a gold chain. Lindsay picked up the class ring and chain. "How did ya..." "I got it over the summer." Benji cut her off. "I wanted you to have it for this year." Lindsay hugged him and they almost fell off the seat. "The necklaces I got when my mom took us to the beach. The star is the one Sarah picked out. You know her� She said we should get you gifts early since your dad always pulls something stupid on your birthday. Oh yeah, and Joel wanted ya to have these since ya always try to steel his." Benji handed her a pair of black open figure gloves. Lindsay turned around in the seat to face her boyfriend's twin. "Thanks Joel." Joel smiled, "Your welcome." Lindsay turned back to Benji. "Benji can I wear your necklace today?" Benji took it off and gave it to her. "Tank ya baby." She put it on then handed him the ring and chain. She turned her back to him and he put it on her. Lindsay picked up a few of the black and blue bracelets and put them on one arm. Then she picked up some more black and some red and put them on her other arm. "What are ya looking for?" Benji asked as Lindsay dug through her purse. "A few things." She pulled out black eyeliner and put it around her eyes to bring out her blue and green eyes. After she put it back in her purse she pulled out a brush and hair ties. Benji watched as she brushed her hair and put it up in braided pigtails. "Wow! Ya look good." "Thanks." The bus stopped in front of the school and all 6 of them got off. "Ok Tiger I will walk you to your class. Paul, come on." Benji, Lindsay, and Paul walked down the hall. After a few minutes the 5-minute bell rang. "Bye baby." Benji kissed her. "I will meet ya here after class." "Ok Benj. Bye bye." With that Benji ran off to his class and Lindsay sat in her chair by Paul. The teacher got started with the class while Lindsay and Paul were passing notes. |
