Spartacus Online
Spartacus is an National Curriculum Resource "I'm Spartacus!"
This is the best place to start if you know nothing about the
war, as it is well laid out, easy to navigate and extremely well-written.
The World War One Archive
This site is available at both the Kansas University
and Oxford University. One of the best reference sites on the web with memoirs,
letters, essays and large photographic archives.
Oxford University Award winning academic site with online tutorials, the Manuscripts of "Anthem For Doomed Youth", alternative
poets (including a large section on women's poetry during the war), and trench
songs.
The
Heritage of The Great War. Dedicated to more unorthodox articles and aspects
of the war, this site has a huge area devoted to music-hall and marching songs

huge archive of accounts, magazines , books and articles all published around the time of the war. In many ways a companion site to this one as it expresses similar ideas and arguments about understandings of the war at the time
