Camping and Paddling Gear:
Please bring your own gear - capming and paddling. Make sure that you have a waterproof tent because it usually rains in the mornings. No cooking gear is necessary since we prefer having breakfasts and dinners together in the local restaurants. If you like to cook or bring your own food, make sure you have a cooler and keep your food in your car otherwise bear attacks might not be avoidable.

Camping:
You need to get your camp reservation done. Reservations can be made as late as 48 hrs of your arrival. So do it ASAP. You can call 1-877-422-6762 for
reserveamerica.com Most of us would be staying at Mohawk Trail State Forest.

Weather and Paddling/Camping Wear:
Water is pretty cold. It usually rains in the mornings and clears up toward noon. If you have a wetsuit, bring it along. Prefer fleece and polypro. Keep an extra set of clothes in your drybag in case you may flip over. Bring along your rain coat. Make sure that your tent is waterproof.

Communication:
There is no cell phone service at Deerfield, MA and limited cell service in North Adams and Shelborne Falls! There is a pay phone in Charlemont Inn and Zoar Outdoors store.
