At Master Edel's ATA Black Belt Academy anytime is a good time to sign up for taekwondo. There are a couple of things to keep in mind however.

1) Nevada's ATA Taekwondo promotional events - those times where we get together to celebrate our achievements and earn new ranks - occur aaproximately every 8 weeks. The very best time to start is right around a promotional event, because this is the point where students begin to learn the material of their newly earned rank. Depending on the student, it is certainly possible to start later than that and be able to learn all the material needed to test for rank. If a student starts late enough in the testing cycle, they just wait until the next promotional event to test, gaining an extra week or two of instruction, practice and confidence before testing.
Promotional Events are usually held in the months of:
January, March, May, July, September, November

2) Master Edel's ATA Black Belt Academy has classes rotating on a block schedule. This is a system that combines similar colored belt classes into a single class. The block schedule allows instructors to spend their time with a group of students all learning the same material rather than split their time in a class between two groups of students. This gives the student more personal attention from the instructor for their class. All students learn all of the required material, but depending on when you start taking classes, you might learn the lower color belt material in reverse order. Blocked classes are:
White -
Orange and Yellow - Camo and Green - Purple and Blue - Brown - Red - Black
