  In 1993 constuction of an addition to the existing fire structure was undertaken, construction materials from a salvaged building project  were used for the construction. The Nevada Division of Forestry Imate crew 2715 build the addition. The addition consists of a single bay, bringing the total of three bays for the Department.

In 1996 the White Pine County Commission authorized the Fire Department to use a medal buiding donated to the County by Kennecott Copper Corp. Nevada Division of Forestry Inmate crew 2713 completed the construction

The building was placed in the large lot adjacent to the existing fire station. Construction costs were covered by the volunteers selling fire wood, which was cut and transported by the volunteers and White Pine County Road Department.  The volunteer were assisted with the fire wood project by the Nevada Division of Forestery. Approximately eighty cords of fire wood were cut and sold.
Additional funds for the project were obtained from the Ruth Town Budget.
   The new building has three vehicle bays, and houses four vehicles of the Department five fire trucks.
