Yikes, the only reason I wanted to go to this show was to see Engine Down and to hang out with some of my friends that I don't get to see often enough. So, as my luck would have it, I got stuck in traffic on Hwy. 27 in Garrard County (ask anyone, that road should be 4 lanes) and by the time we got to Bogarts (which I don't really like anyway) Engine Down was already halfway through their set, which was (what I got to hear of it) quite good. From Autumn To Ashes was next, oh my God did they ever suck. Just not my thing I guess, rehash hardcore runs cold with me. Thursday was next, and for all I know it was their first show, because they just didn't give the appearance that they knew how to play live. The sound was set up horribly, I couldn't hear any gituar, and I don't think their lead singer knows how to properly sing through a mic. To top it off, he passed out after their 7th song and after the show was halted for 20 minutes ("geoff just needs to catch his breath"), they came back onstage for one song and called it a night. Not cool in my opinion, but I will concede anyone a bad night.
